Cesar Chavez / Dolores Huerta Student Poster Contest Awards Ceremony (2023)
We are excited to announce the winners of our Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta Poster Contest! This competition, which recognizes young student artists who have studied Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, is an amazing opportunity to reward those who are actively engaging with such important knowledge. Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta were two pivotal figures in the political and social movements of the 1960s and 1970s. As dedicated activists, they challenged racial, gender and economic disparities in the U.S. to bring about effective change for migrant farm workers and Latinx communities.
Noche de Leonas (2023)
Noche de Leonas is a student-focused event that celebrates and honors influential Latinas in the Tri-Cities. Through this special occasion, we strive to empower young Latinas by connecting them with role models and mentors who will inspire them on their journey of growth and success. This year we will honor five amazing “Leonas” in our 2nd “Noche de Leonas” (This is a private, invite-only event)
